Don't duck this opportunity to save money on tickets to one of the hottest events of the Madison summer: Pondamonium, starring Garbage, The Flaming Lips, and Dum Dum Girls, presented by the Madison Mallards at The Duck Pond at Warner Park on Thursday, August 9, 2012.
While they last, Groupon is offering a deal that saves you a few bucks on the ticket price, plus throws in a special souvenir: Pay $40 for an early-bird ticket package (up to a $75 total value) that includes the following: One general-admission ticket (up to a $50 value) and one Pondamonium T-shirt (a $25 value).
Garbage recently ended a seven-year hiatus and is now ready to take the stage. Lead singer Shirley Manson reunites with her band mates, including Madison native Butch Vig, the band's drummer and famed producer of Nirvana's "Nevermind;" Duke Erikson (guitars, keyboards, bass); and Steve Marker (guitars, keyboards). Tracks such as "Stupid Girl" propelled the band's album sales past the 13 million mark in the '90s. And in the intervening years, band's alt-rock stylings have evolved evermore, resulting in the "spiky, stylish pop" that pulsates on this year's "Not Your Kind of People."
Note: If you haven't signed up for Groupon yet, please use this link to get started. If you are already a Groupon member and click through on one of our other links to purchase an offer, Madison on the Cheap receives a [very small] commission. We appreciate your support.
This offer expires at 11:59 p.m. on Thursday, June 7, 2012. However, supplies are limited and this offer may sell out earlier.
