Celebration of Nature
April 26th – 29th, 2012  The Verde Valley Birding & Nature Festival has been attracting hundreds of birders to the Verde River Valley for over 10 years now. The festival celebrates nature with workshops and field trips where expert guides take visitors to the area's birding hot spots. The Verde Valley is home to many species of birds and normally at the festival over a 100 species of birds are seen including herons, cardinals, tanagers, warblers, hawks and egrets to only name a few. There will be plenty of vendors and exhibitors on hand and activities for families and friends to enjoy. Red Rose Inspiration for Animals arts and crafts show has become a popular Sedona event to both locals and vacationers in Sedona. By attending this event not only do you help support an organization that excels at saving the lives of many wonderful and loving animals, but you also get a chance to see the creations of talented local artists and craftsmen that participate in the show.This event takes place in West Sedona in the front and side parking lot at Olde Sedona Bar and Grill located at 1405 W. Join Studio Live Sedona in welcoming singer/songwriter Sophia Angeles. Sophia Angeles is a 14 year old singer songwriter from Sedona who has a fresh original sound with a unique and powerful vocal style. Her voice has been compared to Jewel and Taylor Swift and her songwriting has a sophistication and sensitivity that's rare for her age. She's been singing, performing on stage and writing songs since she was nine years old. Last April she starred in a very successful debut show at Studio Live and she performs regularly at a variety of local events. - Comedy Zone: Steve Krause & Julie Scoggins

Opening the show will be Steve Krause. Steve "Short Bus" Krause is a 'sit down comedian from Phoenix, AZ. Instead of feeling sorry for being born so awesome, Steve just decided to laugh at himself. Being the only disabled kid in the school, at an early age Steve began using his humor to make new friends. Headlining the show will be Julie Scoggins. She's a 6'2 southern ex-trucker, cab driver, baseball mascot, pooper-scooper & charm school graduate! But don't let that fool you! She's also one of the funniest comedians, male or female, on the circuit today!
